We have some fabulous Festival news to announce. The 2020 Italian Film Festival Presented by Palace will return to silver screens in Adelaide from late September and we have first highlights to share!
The selection is more condensed this year but is without doubt a quality range of Australian premieres including comedy, drama and everything in between. The big news, no lie, is that Italian box office hit Pinocchio, starring Roberto Benigni as Geppetto, will be our opening feature.

The Festival will open with a new live-action version of the classic fairy tale Pinocchio, the only new adaption made in Italy, the tale’s country of origin. From the director of Gomorrah and Dogman, Matteo Garrone’s seven-time Nastro d’Argento award-winner is an enthralling gothic fantasy starring Roberto Benigni as the woodcutter Geppetto.
