SANFL MATCH REVIEW PANEL
- Port Adelaide forward Billy Frampton has accepted a two-match ban with an early guilty plea for engaging in rough conduct with Adelaide’s Patrick Wilson at Memorial Oval, Port Pirie on Saturday.
- Woodville West Torren’s forward Jack Hayes has accepted a $200 fine and reprimand with an early guilty plea for striking South Adelaide’s James Loneragan at Flinders University Stadium on Saturday.
- Central District’s Troy Menzel has accepted a reprimand with an early guilty plea for directing abusive, insulting or obscene language towards an umpire in the match against Sturt at X Convenience Oval on Saturday.
ROUND 13 RAA ROOKIES
SANFL rewards Community Football Clubs for fostering talent through the RAA Rookies program. For each League debutant from SA, their chosen Community Football Club receives $500.
The round 13 RAA Rookies were:
- Corey Durdin (Central District) – Golden Grove FC
- Riley Thilthorpe (West Adelaide) – Goodwood Saints FC
- Pierce Seymour (Adelaide) – Payneham Norwood Union FC
ROUND 13 POWERADE BREAKTHROUGH PLAYER
The Round 13 Powerade Breakthrough Player winner is Glenelg’s Brad Close who produced a complete performance against Norwood on Sunday at ACH Group Stadium with 25 disposals, four goals, three goal assists and eight marks. (The Round 13 winner is announced early this week due to no Channel 7 broadcast match in round 14.)
The other round 13 Powerade Breakthrough Player nominees were:
- Lee Minervini (North) – Collected 11 disposals, five marks and seven tackles in North’s narrow loss to West Adelaide.
- Riley Thilthorpe (West) – Aged just 17, Thilthorpe had eight disposals and seven marks in his first Statewide Super League match.
U18s TORRENS UNIVERSITY CUP MVP
The Round 13 Torrens University Cup MVP nominee is Norwood’s Henry Nelligan. Originally from the Cummins Kapinnie Football Club, Nelligan gained a good mix of inside and outside possessions to finish with 31 disposals, 10 marks, two tackles and four clearances, playing mainly as an inside midfielder.
