Last night was all about celebrating the girls… like every Saturday night should be, right?
Two of Adelaide’s beloved groups of ladies, the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Adelady, teamed up with some of our very own best girl gangs, including Girl About Town, My Style Bar, Boutique Tents and Petite de Flower, to host the ultimate girls’ night out.
The chilly night wasn’t a problem, as Boutique Tents provided three cosy hideaways to not only escape the cold in class, but to glitz and glam girls of all ages. The talented team at My Style Bar welcomed a seemingly never ending crowd of eager girls awaiting a new do, and glittery eyes to match the sparkle of the night. With the double braid ranking in as the most requested on the menu, My Style Bar transformed all into braided beauties with a few swift twists of the wrist, and layering of locks.
Upon awaiting entrance into the arena, ladies could take comfort snuggling in amongst the cushions and throws within the tents, or take a seat outside on the tables, decked out with elegant floral arrangements by Petite de Flower. Platters were on offer for grazing, filled with a selection of gourmet cheeses, fresh fruit and nuts, and could be enjoyed with a range of beverages – we recommend a Kahlua and cream coffee for next time.
As fans filed into the arena, a sea of braided supporters took their seats for the highly anticipated match between the Adelaide Thunderbirds and NSW Swifts. Eager and unaware of the nail biter that was to unfold, the NSW Swifts took the final lead by just three goals. The Adelaide Thunderbirds put up a strong fight, and will play the GWS Giants next, on 7 May.
