Its a top 4 battle at Titanium Arena tonight between the Adelaide 36ers and Melbourne United. United will be looking to move up the ladder for chance at top spot while the 36ers look to consolidate their top spot.
Melbourne United go into the game without Goulding, Blanchfield or Anderson. 36ers are at full strenght.
Melbourne United started strongly and it took 8 minutes for the 36ers to really ignite with some Sobey magic with a dunk and turnover. Melbourne still took 5 point lead at end of first quarter and have made their intention to make it a tough night at the office for the 36ers.
The 36ers came out with aggression in the 2nd quarter and took the lead for the first time halfway through the quarter. An incident with Casper Ware in this quarter ensured he would be receiving jeers each time he had the ball.
Nathan Sobey had an amazing first half with 18 points. On the other end, Jereome Randle had zero points for the half.
After a stronger quarter by the 36ers, they only trail by 1 point at the half. An exciting second half with a fired up crowd awaits.
The Melbourne United kept his one tech file per game average up with another one in the third quarter.
Jerome Randle finally scored his first point late in the third quarter which caused the crowd to erupt. A strong ending to the quarter ensured the 36ers would lead 65 points to 59 going into the last quarter.
Randle was on fire in the last quarter scoring three pointers at will. And more amazing assists causing the crowd to erupt. It was Randle time and nobody was gonna stop him. And with him stepping up, it inspired the rest of the team and the 36ers finished off strongly and won by 27 points at the end.
Nathan Sobey had an amazing 32 points for the game ensuring that opposition have two threatening players that they need to look out for.
The Adelaide 36ers now travel to Perth for a top of the table clash against the Perth Wildcats.
