Adelaide Fringe season is sadly coming to an end, so it is important that we are supporting as many shows as we can before Adelaide becomes a ghost town again.
Marcel Blanche De Wilt, brings his show Pancakes to the Rhino Room on Pirie Street, where he will showcase his love for brunch, pancakes and the smaller joys of life.
Stand up comedy is probably one of the hardest type of performances, and I think it takes absolute guts to get up on stage and try and make a crowd of random people laugh. Marcel Blanche De Wilt, certainly has the personality and expressive manner for stand up comedy. I find that some comedians will just get up on stage and talk, but Marcel actually performed and used his body as a part of the show. It did take me a while to warm up to him and his jokes, but after around twenty minutes I found him funny, and ridiculous, but entertaining to watch. He was super relatable at times, with his obsession for brunch, pancake mime and the art of tap and go at the cashier If you are wanting to venture out of the busy garden, and are looking for a smaller more intimate show, then purchase tickets to Pancakes by Marcel Blanche De Wilt. A funny, relatable, silly show, which will keep you giggling throughout.
