Be prepared to be enthralled and entertained by Trainspotting Live Show, just one of the hit shows at this year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival.
The show is not for the faint hearted and features nudity, high drug use and violence. Despite all this, it is a must-see show, especially for fans of the 1996 Danny Boyle classic, Trainspotting and is perfect timing with the release of the latest movie, Trainspotting 2.
Trainspotting Live is based on the life of Mark Renton and his friends who are heroin addicts, living in Edinburgh in the 1980’s and all of the characters in the show play their role superbly well and very similarly to the iconic Trainspotting movie itself.
As you walk into the show, you are greeted by what feels like an underground rave with glow-sticks and insane dancing at the Station Underground, which is the perfect venue for the show.
Be prepared to be a part of the show particularly if you are sitting in the front row and it might be a good idea to wear some old clothes in readiness for the notorious “Worst Toilet in Scotland” scene which has to be seen to be believed as well as frequent cases of alcohol getting spat out and poured over people!
As a huge fan of the epic Trainspotting movie, I was super impressed with the live show and how well the characters played their roles. I highly recommend Trainspotting Live for avid fans or for those who are ready for a crazy experience that they won’t forget in a hurry!
