New local music series Foyer Fridays to launch online
Whisk yourself away from the desk/ washing/ same four walls and immerse yourself in an NPR tiny-desk1-style soiree as local musicians help you remember what life was like before COVID-19.
Burgeoning western suburb’s venue Woodville Town Hall and “Musical wizard” Adam Page have joined forces to present a new local music series Foyer Fridays in the charming 1920’s foyer. While take-off was delayed due to the pandemic, the team are excited to be moving Foyer Fridays to a live-stream format from Friday 1 May.
The first three events are free to watch and feature Adam Page & Julian Ferraretto in an enviable jazz duo (1 May), Aaron Thomas’ old-style folk/country (15 May) and Fleur Green’s delicious aural palette (29 May).
Woodville Town Hall will expand the series by calling on local artists in City of Charles Sturt to apply to take part in the June series. To be among the first to hear of application details, sign up to the venue’s e-news at woodvilletownhall.com.au.
“Here at Charles Sturt, we want to connect our community throughout this pandemic, and through arts and culture we can connect people and support our local artists. This is a new way to experience music; it is important for our mental health and wellbeing to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the way music makes us feel,” said Mayor Angela Evans.

Adam Page agreed: “I’m thrilled to be working with the team at Woodville and grateful to the City of Charles Sturt for continuing to pay artists and provide arts to the community at this time. I’ve pulled together a fantastic line up of original local music, so see you online Adelaide!”.
