Their second #1 ARIA charting album ‘TERRA FIRMA’ arrives 3 years after ARIA-winning debut album FLOW STATE – which spawned multiple platinum and gold singles as well as the 2x Platinum singles. Angus & Julia Stone are one of Australia’s premier pairings, with six ARIA awards and well over half a million album sales in Australia alone, numerous No. 1 albums and charting singles, the brother and sisterly duo continue to be as bold and prolific as ever. Australia’s favourite psychedelic rock band and prolific recording artists, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, return for their first show in South Australia since 2019, following an extensive North America, UK and European tour. Having released over twenty albums to date, their most recent releases being ‘Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava,’ ‘Laminated Denim,’ and ‘Changes’ are out now. Hot of the release of their acclaimed new album, Mirror Mountain, the chart-topping production duo, Hermitude, have crafted beats that blend hip-hop, funk, dubstep and pop, electrifying clubs, and festival crowds alike from Sydney to SXSW and Lollapalooza. They won the coveted Australian Music Prize for their breakthrough fourth album HyperParadise (2012), with its Flume-remixed title track smash, and sent the ARIA-nominated follow-up Dark Night Sweet Light (2015). The Temper Trap have sold more than a million albums and racked up more than one billion streams across their platforms. The Temper Trap are undoubtably back at the forefront of Australian music, with their 2008 release ‘Sweet Disposition’ again on the airways thanks to its TikTok resurgence and new Australian tours. |
Curated by Blake Gilchrist; the music curator for Adelaide Festival, Gilchrist said that Vintage Vibes is set to redefine the idea of a winery festival in South Australia. “I’m really excited to offer South Australia a world-class, multi-day festival in Vintage Vibes, not only with a truly amazing artistic line-up, but one that is set to accentuate the Adelaide Hills region,” said Vintage Vibes Director, Blake Gilchrist “We have undoubtedly delivered a truly international standard line-up, consisting of nearly 100% Australian artists and over 50% South Australian. Where else can you see artists like Gang of Youth, Tash Sultana and Angus & Julia Stone play alongside hometown heroes Adrian Eagle, Wanderers, and We Move Like Giants. “The Adelaide Hills has some of the most beautiful wineries and food producers alongside some of the most picturesque countryside in Australia, and we are excited to soon announce a complete food, drink and activation program as we cannot wait to showcase the best of the region.” South Australia’s Minister for Arts, Andrea Michaels says, The South Australian Government – through the Music Development Office – is proud to support Vintage Vibes, a new music festival launching in South Australia in 2023. “Live music is an integral part of our state’s culture and has a significant impact on our wellbeing and economy, which is why I look forward to seeing a festival of this scale getting out of the city and heading to our world-renowned wine region. “It’s also fantastic to see a grant recipient from the South Australian Government’s $10 million See It LIVE package come to life, providing a platform for South Australian artists who make up a majority of the line-up. We’re committed to supporting the recovery of the live music industry in this state and Vintage Vibes is one of many exciting events popping up on South Australia’s music calendar in 2023.” |
