South Aussie boy turned international producer, Motez, blew fans away in his hometown of Adelaide on the 6th of May as part of his Australian tour to celebrate the release of his new EP The Vibe.
Motez won the award for ‘Best Music Producer’ at last years South Australian Music Awards, for his EP titled Vancouver. The artist has since been working on multiple tracks, of which he dropped for the crowd at Adelaide’s latest hotspot, Fat Controller.
The title track from the EP features West London MC Scrufizzer, who is known for previously collaborating with artists such as Danny Brown, Dizzee Rascal and Skream, to name a few.
The rest of the EP is enough to talk about on its own, featuring collaborations with hot names such as Tkay Maidza and Wax Motif.
The show itself saw a packed nightclub full of young people spending their paychecks over the bar and many that were there solely for the entertainment. Regardless, everyone went wild when the new songs were played.
The underground venue, which is literally located under the heart of the CBD, is surprisingly large and fully equipped with two bars, tonnes of seating and standing room, and even has arcade games for those who are a child at heart.
The show was a great success for Motez and for Fat Controller, the only reason I wont give it a full 5 star rating is because I was spoken to quite rudely by a bartender who refused to give me a glass of water as she clearly just wanted to pack up her bar and leave.
