Setting up in the lush surrounds of Serafino Winery, Wine Machine returned again last Saturday December 7, with their indulgent paradise for foodies and festival fanatics alike. For their fourth consecutive year, this round flaunted an exceptional Australian line-up involving Kristina Jaman, George Alice, Chase Zera, Owl Eyes, CC:Disco!, Bag Raiders, Crooked Colours, The Jungle Giants, Hayden James and ending with Hot Dub Wine Machine’s musical time travel celebration.
Whether festivalgoers were eager for a decadent, luxurious experience or for a boundless night of music and dance, Wine Machine catered for all. With their recently added al fresco style Long Table Lunch and new two-story VIP Bar ‘The Chateau’, a dazzling sight on the festival’s fringe, Wine Machine ensured a memorable affair. Also, on offer was an exclusive gourmet selection of local culinary delights at its exclusive marketplace ‘Le Marché’ along with the usual tasty selection of festival bites. Behind the bar, Serafino Wines had their mouth-watering, internationally acclaimed selection of wines ready to refill festival-goers cups, along with an extensive range of beers, cider and mixed beverages.
This year’s assortment of Australian artists succeeded in creating a fabulously intimate and progressive atmosphere for attendees to savour in. My own highlight for the night was joining the passionate crowd in moving to some of Hayden James’ (DJ Set) most dynamically sensual dance tunes. Ending the night was Hot Dub Wine Machine’s musical travel through time starting from the 70’s right through to the present that had everyone reminiscing on music of the past, present and in contemplation of 2019s greatest hits. And the song of 2019 was “Dance Monkey” from Tones and I.
The peaceful and serene location of Serafino Wines provided the perfect backdrop to this unique festival ensuing a calming atmosphere within that especially celebrated local food, wine and Australian music. An outdoor winery event of the year which just seems to get bigger each year, this event’s fresh and unique vibe and assortment of home-grown Aussie artists has it spot guaranteed as an annual must-do for my friends and I and in-turn has earnt itself this 10/10 review.
