Australia’s Oktoberfest in the Gardens is coming to Adelaide
We are the festival state, so it seems fitting that Australia’s Oktoberfest is coming to SA.
The Adelaide Showgrounds will be transformed into a German festival wonderland, as Australia’s Oktoberfest hits our festival city for the first time in 2016.
In its sixth year, and joining established events in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, Oktoberfest in the Gardens is Australia’s biggest and best Oktoberfest celebration, with an expected national attendance in excess of 60,000.
Adelaide’s festivities will be officially opened with a keg tapping ceremony on Saturday 15 October at 2pm.
Influenced by the traditional beer festivals in Germany ; Oktoberfest in the Gardens will feature the largest beer hall seen across the country. German food stalls, a large selection of imported German beers, cider and wine, and a range of other beverages. There will also be entertainment across multiple stages, a great looking sideshow alley, and even a silent disco.
With big crowds expected, be sure to get down to the Showgrounds early for what I’m sure will be an enjoyable and fun filled day for all! Attending ticket holders will also receive a once off commemorative event stein to take home.
