ECLIPSE – PINK FLOYD ORCHESTRATED
ANNOUNCES AN ENCORE PERFORMANCE DECEMBER 4TH
HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE
Here’s cause for celebration. Pink Floyd’s legendary rich and powerful sonic soundscape will once again have Adelaide patrons on the edge of their seats with, due to popular demand, an encore performance of the July sell-out of Eclipse, Pink Floyd Orchestrated held at the Festival Theatre due to take place on Saturday 4th December at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
“The debut event was sold out at 100% capacity with a long waitlist before the July Modbury covid outbreak saw us have to reduce our numbers back to 75% at the eleventh hour. In response to demand from those who missed out last time and multiple requests for a repeat performance by patrons that did attend, we’ve managed to align the schedules of the 40 musicians and singers as well as the SA Primary Schools choir (for ‘Another Brick in the Wall’) to recreate the magic one more time” said musical director Warwick Cheatle.
With only 1,000 tickets available for sale from BASS from Friday 22 October, people are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
The combination of ten of Australia’s finest rock musicians and singers will once again unite with the lush orchestral string, wind and horn sounds of the Southern Cross Symphony to perform some of the greatest rock songs ever written. As those who were fortunate enough to experience in July will testify, the unmistakable synthesised sounds of Pink Floyd recreated with the richness of the orchestral instruments they were originally set to simulate is truly an incredible aural feast.
The world debut performance of Eclipse, Pink Floyd Orchestrated in July certainly lifted the roof off the Festival Theatre with the masterful and impeccable celebration of the musical might and majesty of Floyd classics including Dark Side of the Moon, Breathe, Time, Money, Great Gig in the Sky, Us and Them, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Here, Have A Cigar, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick In The Wall (Part II), Hey You, Learning to Fly, and many more.
Eclipse Pink Floyd Orchestrated is a fully independent production that will showcase our world-class local talent and then take it to the world. We invite South Australians to experience this extraordinary show and support local. Plans to tour the event nationally have been paused due to COVID though interest from the eastern seaboard in particular has increased. The tour is expected to commence in early 2022.
