American alternative rock band, Dinosaur Junior had the Governor Hindmarsh rocking when they played to a packed out crowd at one of Adelaide’s great live venues on Thursday 19th of January.
The evening began with Australian two piece, Luluc who had the crowd intrigued with their soulful harmonies and it was a perfect way to start the night and prepare the crowd for the rock show that was about to come.
Formed in 1984, Dinosaur Junior have a similar sound to Sebadoh and Sonic Youth and they proved that age is purely just a number as they started with their 1987 classic, ‘The Lung’ and then one of their new songs, ‘Goin Down,’ which is the opener to their exciting new album released in 2016, ‘Give of a Glimpse of What Yer Not’.
Their show had a combination of songs from their new album as well as some of their classic songs including: ‘Start Choppin, Freak Scene and Feel the Pain’.
Dinosaur Junior fans will certainly be hoping that there are more tours to come from the three piece from America.
