Following a successful five years on WA holiday hot spot Rottnest Island hosting the likes of Peking Duk, Gang Of Youths, What So Not, Illy, Alison Wonderland and many more, Castaway Festival makes its inaugural journey to South Australia with an all-Aussie electronic line up for the ages.

RÜFÜS DU SOL
They say first impressions last, and what better way to launch Castaway Festival in South Oz than with one of the world’s hottest electronic music artists right now, RÜFÜS DU SOL. The world-beating Sydney trio entered a new echelon of global domination in 2018 following their release of their critically adored and commercially successful third album, Solace. When they’re not playing huge festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella, they’re busy selling out multiple hometown shows, including a recent run of three nights in a row at Sydney’s VIVID Festival. Where will you be when Innerbloom drifts across the sands of Glenelg Beach live for the first time ever?
THE PRESETS
The godfathers of live electronic music in Australia, The Presets’ expansive audio/visual/dance/rave will set Glenelg Beach alight and get your 2020 off to a stomper. Whether they’re “dancing with all of my people” or sipping on a high octane “martini”, The Presets are the masters when it comes dance parties. The duo are coming off a massive 2018 themselves following the release of their hugely popular fourth album, Hi Viz, so it’ll be “tools down” when the heat is on come January 3.

WAFIA
We’re not kidding around when we say this is the hottest lineup to grace the stage in Adelaide in a very long time, with Brisbane-based singer/songwriter WAFIA flying in fresh off a breakout 2019. Her smash hit single I’m Good was voted #14 in the 2018 triple j Hottest 100, and after regularly selling out shows around the country the in-demand artist adds a touch of class to the Castaway SA stage.

WILLARIS. K
Having recently been tapped by RÜFÜS DU SOL themselves to remix their huge single Underwater, northern NSW product Willaris. K is easily one of Australia’s most-hyped emerging electronic artists. His intense and energetic live shows have been garnering fans all over the world, and his debut EP Alchemy from 2018 was one of the year’s standout releases. Featuring huge singles like Dour Nights and Natural Selection, his set at Castaway is shaping up to be one of those “I was there when…” moments.

LASTLINGS
Last, but certainly not least, Castaway SA will offer you the perfect chance to get yourself acquainted with highly-touted Gold Coast act Lastlings. The brother/sister duo wrapped up their first ever headline Australian national tour at Splendour In The Grass recently, and were the second artists to join RÜFÜS DU SOL’s recently-launched label Rose Avenue Records, and have only gone from strength-to-strength on the back of latest single, Déjà Vu.
