BUSBY MAROU ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN TOUR THIS MAY/JUNE

By Tony Polese · On March 10, 2017

BUSBY MAROU ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN TOUR THIS MAY/JUNE | AND ADDITION TO THE 2017 BLUESFEST LINE UP | ARIA #1 ALBUM ‘POSTCARDS FROM THE SHELL HOUSE’ OUT NOW

ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN TOUR THIS MAY/JUNE

AND ADDITION TO THE 2017 BLUESFEST LINE UP

ARIA #1 ALBUM POSTCARDS FROM THE SHELL HOUSE OUT NOW

Busby Marou, aka Thomas Busby & Jeremy Marou, have announced that they will be heading out on an extensive Australian tour this May and June in support of their ARIA #1 album Postcards From The Shell House. Tickets are available now from Busby Marou’s official website. The band has also been announced as part of this year’s Bluesfest line up in Byron Bay, with performances on Friday 14 and Monday April 17.

The Queensland duo were thrilled to claim their first ARIA #1 with Postcards From The Shell House and are excited to get back out on the road and take in most Australian metro and regional cities.

Featuring the singles Getaway Car and Best Part of Me, Postcards From the Shell House was recorded with Jon Hume (Evermore) at The Stables studios in Gisbourne, VIC as well as during sessions on Great Keppel Island and on a boat. Postcards From The Shell House returns the pair to their roots in a number of ways. The shell house in question, an old heritage-listed building on Great Keppel Island off the coast of their native Rockhampton, has great significance. Early in their career Tom and Jeremy would sit around a campfire there and sing songs, one or two of which ended up on record.  Last year, with producer Jon Hume in tow, that same method in the same location produced a few songs for the new album.

Busby Marou’s debut self-titled album was certified ARIA Gold in Australia in July 2014, while their follow up album Farewell Fitzroy debuted at #5 on the album chart. Postcards From The Shell House is Busby Marou’s first ARIA #1 album.

Be sure to catch Busby Marou on their remaining Postcards From The Shell House tour dates in May and June, and at Bluesfest this April! In addition, Busby Marou are pleased to announce that Melbourne band The Teskey Brothers will be joining them on the road as the national support on the tour.

“If Busby Marou’s third album Postcards From The Shell House was any more laid-back, it would be upside down” – The West Australian

“….from some of the sweetest harmonies the pair has committed to record to percussive claps and captivating refrains…Postcards From The Shell House is Busby Marou’s most consistent release to date and positions the duo to capitalise on their already considerable success.” Four Stars – The Courier Mail
