Ahead of British India’s Midnight Homie national tour (dates and venues are below), I interviewed Will Drummond from the band.
Fans can expect from the tour hits from 2017 abum, Forgetting the Future, as well as their hits from the past. Will promises a fun night out for fans.
After this upcoming tour, the band will get busy writing new tracks. And while writing new songs, a brand new music studio will be built in Will’s house. A busy second half of the year awaits.
The Forgetting the Future album is more darker compared to previous albums. Listeners may find it confronting in regard to lyrics compared to previous British India tracks. The idea in writing songs come from listening to other music, the day that they may be experiencing, or simply by reading a book. And listening to new and different music is what keeps the band’s sounds remaining fresh.
One interesting fact about British India is that they have toured with The Rolling Stones which remains one of the band’s most memorable experiences in their music careers.
And away from music, Will likes to spend his leisure time travelling and is currently studying Japanese.
We look forward to seeing Will and the rest of the band play at the Gov in early July as part of their Midnight Homie single tour.
