With UNIFY now ONLY 57 DAYS AWAY, we thought it was a good time to send out a few updates, and let you in on a few exclusive announcements. We’ve also tried to make it easier for those of you who might not have the up-front funds to buy a ticket to the festival by introducing After Pay (a buy now, pay later service) … read on for more details

1. Playing Times
The playing times have been announced. As those of you who have been to a previous UNIFY will know, we are a one-stage festival. That means no clashes, no stressing about who to watch and who to miss, and every band will have their chance to shine in front of the entire crowd.
2. Ticket Allocation
Tickets are starting to run low. At the beginning of the week we hit the final 1000 tickets remaining. Whilst a sold-out festival is good for many reasons (we’re certainly not complaining), we do hate the fact that this means some people will miss out on attending. Once tickets are gone, they are gone. We are not able to increase the capacity any further, so please don’t miss out. For those of you who have already snapped up tickets… how exciting! The sun is starting to shine (rarely in Victoria as of late, but it’s starting) and every time it’s out all we can think of are those happy UNIFY festival memories…. plenty more to come!
3. Tight on funds? Buy your ticket now, pay later!
To help out those who might not have the funds up front to buy tickets to the festival, we’ve introduced a buy now, pay later service called AFTER PAY.
We get it, there are plenty of things out there to be spending your money on, and budgeting can be a nightmare, and sometimes just damn right boring. We are also aware that some of you still need to be able to secure your UNIFY tickets, even if you have spent your most recent pay on Northlane tickets, or new Soho or Amity merch.
AFTER PAY means you can secure your UNIFY 17′ tickets now with just one up front payment of $50. Following that, you just have to pay off the remainder of the ticket with another $50 payment every two weeks, 3 more times. That’s just $25 a week! It’s interest free, so this means by using AFTER PAY, you won’t pay any more than what you would do by paying for your ticket in full, up front.
Artist signings will take place at UNIFY 17′. This is something a lot of you really wanted back for UNIFY 17′, so we’re going to make it happen. We’re currently working out the logistics, a schedule, and more than likely, we’ll be running a gold coin donation to a local charity (or something along those lines) for those who want to meet their favourite bands and get merch signed. Stay tuned here as there will be more to announce on this front in the coming weeks.

What a couple of years it’s been!
5. Want to DJ at UNIFY?
Competition time! We’re offering you the chance to jump up in the DJ tower at UNIFY between Thy Art Is Murder and Violent Soho, and DJ between the two bands and set the crowd on fire with those tunes. We’ll also make sure you’re looked after with a cheeky little bit of VIP treatment backstage before your set.
For those of you who aren’t quite up to speed on your scratching and mixing skills, don’t worry, we’ll be going full Calvin Harris on this one and you can just DJ from your iPod or phone off a playlist. It’s all about the curation!
To enter:-
1. Make sure you have a ticket to UNIFY 17′ 2. Post the DJ tile / image (below) on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter 3. In the status, post the hashtag #UNIFY17, followed by 10 of the best songs/bangers that you would drop
Whoever curates the best playlist, and receives the most love and shares on their post, will win.
Anyone remember last year when John Farnham’s ‘Your The Voice’ dropped shortly before Parkway Drive took to the stage? The entire festival crowd sang along, and what a contrast when Parkway came on, good times.
6. Arnold’s going to UNIFY
Do we really need to say anything more here. Our official four legged and one tailed mascot Arnold the dog, will be going to UNIFY 17′. Of course, UNIFY wouldn’t be UNIFY if we didn’t celebrate the fact that Luke’s awesome little buddy is attending, so we’re getting some t-shirts made up.

7. Introducing Pagan
The winners of the triple j unearthed competition to perform at UNIFY 17 were local Melbourne band Pagan. We love being given the opportunity to showcase an up and coming band doing exciting things, and partnering with triple j unearthed on this competition was a no brainer. It will also really give the band a chance to introduce themselves to you all, and show you what they can do. Pagan will kick things off being the first band to grace the stage on the Saturday, the perfect way to dust off any cobwebs lingering from the night before.
8. Sunday at UNIFY
Sunday this year is going to be a super chill, recovery, hang out day featuringMarket Stalls, DJ’s, Acoustic Artists (mostly performers from the Friday and Saturday, Happy Hour drink specials, breakfast foods, and the giant games(they’ll be there all weekend). Sunday will be a great chance to catch up with friends old and new and reminisce about the two nights prior, whilst still soaking up that festival vibe in a chilled atmosphere.
Stay tuned on the acoustic artist front, we’ll have more details to announce here soon.
9. UNIFY compilation CD
We’re releasing a compilation CD featuring music from all 26 bands on the UNIFY 17′ lineup.
This is a 2CD compilation, and the inner booklet folds out into an A3 poster. If you’re not sure what CD to chuck on in the car on the way down to the UNIFY, or just need something to put on whilst you’re cruising around in the ever more present sun, this is the perfect answer.
We are running a bus service from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to the festival site in Tarwin Lower (and back again on the Sunday) to help people get to and from the festival. This should help with anyone wanting to enjoy a few drinks on the Sunday, and anyone who wants to enjoy that UNIFY community pilgrimage feeling of excitement on the way down with other UNIFY gatherers!
We’ve just sold out two buses, but we’ve managed to secure a third. If you want to get a seat on the bus, please make sure you snap up your bus tickets soon.
At this stage, buses will be departing from Southern Cross Station at approximately 9.00am on the Friday morning to head to the festival, and then will be departing the festival between 2.00pm-3.00pm on the Sunday. The journey is approximately 2 hours each way. A return ticket is $60, and sorry, we can’t offer one way tickets, as much as some of you would love to camp at UNIFY all year round!
We still have a few of the awesome VIP upgrade packages available to buy. A reminder that the VIP upgrades do NOT include a ticket to the festival and you must purchase festival tickets in addition to any upgrade package.
As we mentioned earlier in this update, UNIFY 17′ is just 57 days away, that’s just a little under two months until the festival. We’re feeling the excitement building, and we hope you are too. We’re starting to visit the site more and more frequently to make sure everything is prepared and ready for your arrival, and we’ll do what we can to share some photo’s of it all coming together nearer to the time.
The feedback we’ve received from you all since UNIFY 16′ has been a massive help in shaping UNIFY 17′, and without that feedback our task would have been a lot harder. Please keep the feedback coming, we don’t want to shape a festival for the future in a way that the fans don’t want it to be.
Whether it’s sharing a drink, watching a band as the sunsets, playing giant jenga, or asking each other if you have a spare tent peg, we’ll see you in January…… #NOTLONGNOW
