To coincide with their fifth birthday, The Curious Squire at North Adelaide has undergone a facelift, as well as launching a brand new menu and weekend breakfast offering.
Talia Manuell, Kindred Management Group Interior Designer, was engaged to refresh the space using colours and greenery to give life to the iconic North Adelaide venue.
“The bright colours, inspired by a Havana aesthetic, play off the materials and textiles to create a series of informal yet intimate spaces to sit within the bar.
“I wanted to ensure the new look was fun and vibrant, whilst still honouring the character of the original building and surrounding parklands,” says Talia Manuell.
Moving away from heavy Americana fare, The Curious Squire’s new menu focusses on fresh and unique dishes, suitable for the health conscious, created by Head Chef, Hien Nguyen.
“The new menu is inspired by modern Australian dishes and flavours.
“In addition to traditional favourites like schnitzels and burgers, we are also offering healthy options like Buddha Bowls, Chargrilled Spring Chicken, and dishes for sharing including our Taco Fiesta Board and Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder,” says Hien Nguyen.
For those looking for a quick and affordable lunchtime solution, The Curious Squire offers an exclusive $15 weekday lunch menu.
With summer just around the corner, the beer garden at The Curious Squire is the perfect spot for weekend breakfast, serving from 8am every Saturday and Sunday.
“We saw the opportunity to offer weekend breakfast now that the weather is getting warmer again,” says Hien Nguyen.
“Customers can expect to enjoy all their breakfast favourites as well as some unique dishes including Crab Scrambled Eggs, Breakfast Gnocchi and French Toast Dumplings. Of course we are still serving our Curious Paws menu too, so dog owners can enjoy a special morning breakfast with the whole family.”
The Curious Squire remains as the home of James Squire beer in Adelaide, with the dedicated staff always eager to offer advice on beer and menu matching.
For those looking for a great South Australian drop, The Curious Squire has also expanded their wine list with more locally sourced wines and sparkling from wine makers such as Bird in Hand and Sidewood Estate.
The Curious Squire’s brand new menu is now available to enjoy at 10 O’Connell Street, North Adelaide.
