The High Tea Party Review
Words by Jamie Pavs
We had the divine pleasure of being invited to The High Tea Party brought to us by To A Tea and Women’s Weekly, and what an absolute pleasure it was!
On arrival to the Hilton Hotel we were presented with a complimentary glass of champagne (or two) and were pleased to be surprise with a high end market style set up comprising of delicious soy candles to beautiful vintage fur coats and even stalls that were offering mini pampering sessions for the already spoilt attendees!
Our tables were set up Royal Albert x Miranda Kerr china tea sets that were absolutely adorable and a few little gifts for us such as a face mask by Australian company …. An issue of the latest women’s weekly and some tea for us to take home and try!
Whilst we were eating our miniature scones, quiches, vanilla slices and sandwiches; a fashion show was put on for us! As one of the purposes of the high tea was to raise money for the Cancer Council – each model was one that had directly been affected by cancer. This was a lovely touch to an already exquisite morning.
Included in all of this, there were also many prizes to be won; including pamper sessions for hair and nails, mini holidays and a cruise for 4 people amounting to the value of forty thousand dollars!
Overall this was an amazing morning and I would encourage anyone to attend next time they come around to Adelaide. Perfect for a mother’s day present or some time to catch up with the girls, it’s not something to be missed and I certainly won’t be missing another year!
