Just in time for Spring, the iconic Colonist Tavern at Norwood is serving up a brand new menu featuring pub favourites, quality bar snacks and most importantly an all day brunch offering.
Located in the heart of Norwood, The Colonist’s Head Chef, Dean Lennerth, has developed a menu utilising fresh, seasonal produce which is perfect for the warmer months.
“The demand for an all day breakfast rings true with our weekend trade, so we have decided to extend the concept through to a seven-day brunch offering.
“People will be able to choose from our signature pub classics but also have the choice of indulging in a brunch dish until 4pm daily,” says Head Chef, Dean Lennerth.
The menu is prepared using only fresh, locally sourced quality produce, and this season, The Colonist’s summer salads, including a chicken and haloumi salad and a salmon nicoise salad, are clear menu standouts.
“We have a strong commitment to providing tasty food options for vegetarians, vegans and people with gluten intolerances. We also strive to use as much local and Australian produce as possible.
“We use local growers for fruit and vegetables, Barossa Valley free range eggs, Hahndorf smallgoods, Adelaide Hills sourced rabbits, and meats that come from both South Australia and Queensland,” says Dean Lennerth.
The Colonist has also extended their bar snack menu for the warmer months, offering more grazing options including special wedges, nachos, mushroom arancini and pizzas.
In addition to their versatile menu, The Colonist features an extensive range of tap beers including local craft product and limited release beers. The wine list is supported by a cellar list, allowing customers to purchase premium wines by the glass. In keeping with the brunch theme, The Colonist is on board with the fresh juice craze with a range of gin and fresh juice cocktails, the perfect accompaniment to the brunch style dishes.
The Colonist’s new spring menu launches with an exclusive Eat & Tweet event on Tuesday 10th October and will be available to enjoy at 44 The Parade, Norwood from Saturday 14th October.
