(Review by Michael Melino)
Located on 20 Currie Street in the city, BA:M is a truly modern take on authentic Korean cuisine.
It pushes the boundaries with their dishes and drinks to make you say, “Wow!”, And I guarantee you will say that when you see your food!
Definitely a place to take your partner or friends if you want to impress them.
With helpful service and an incredible atmosphere, come for dinner or later on in the night for their very creative and tasty cocktails with a unique twist and range of soju!
For a mixed selection of what they have to offer for food, I ‘highly’ recommend getting the BA:M sharing platter, which includes everything from Gangnam chicken, to prosciutto wrapped prawns in truffle sauce, to handmade meatballs, dumplings, bulgogi (traditional marinated Korean beef), rolling duck, jeyuk (spicy pork), sweet potato chips with truffle mayo and more! It is truly one of the most delicious platters I’ve ever had! Definitely one to take a photo of for your Instagram.
They also specialise in different hot pots, cooking on your table, with vegetarian options as well. Truly mouth watering!
And if you enjoy K-pop music, there’s a big screen where they play with music videos to suit the atmosphere, which is very upbeat and hip and a big favourite for the locals.
Definitely take your partner here for a modern date or organise a group of friends and come, you will be telling others about this place for sure! Or you may want to keep it a secret. Either way, I give BA:M a 9/10 for their service, food, drinks, and atmosphere overall.
