Burger X, the newest burger joint in town, brought to you by X-Convenience, that’s right, the petrol station!
But don’t knock it! This isn’t your average sloppy drive-through burger shop. I tried ‘The Big BBP’ burger and the ‘John Wayne’ burger and honestly, they were some of the best burgers I’ve had in Adelaide!
And that’s because of their beef patties, which are cooked to perfection. They use thickly cut real red meat patties and they’re cooked until there’s just a tiny bit of pink in the centre, which is personally how I prefer my steaks.
They’re chewy, but in a good way, they don’t just crumble apart in your mouth like fast food patties. This was the highlight of the burger for me.
With 12 burgers to choose from and a whole range of sides including fries, nuggets (made with 100% real chicken breast) and loaded shakes!
They also serve a breakfast range with 5 ‘breakie’ muffins to pick from.
Catering to vegans also and those who appreciate a mean, serious, gourmet burger, I definitely recommend stopping past X-Convenience. The store we went to was at Plympton which was double story and had dedicated seating on the lower floor and upstairs.
Although not all X-Convenience petrol stations have a Burger X, this particular one did. Check out their Facebook page for a list of locations, offers and announcements.
This isn’t just a petrol station with a fast food store, I want to make that clear, it’s a dedicated gourmet burger shop.
At the moment they have an offer where you can choose ‘any’ burger, medium fries and medium drink all for only $8! (Available at Burger X Plympton and Elizabeth South)
You won’t regret it!
