23rd Street Distillery eatery

Iconic Twenty Third Street Distillery Launches New Riverland Eatery – ‘Distillery Restaurant’

Twenty Third Street Distillery is one of South Australia’s most iconic distillery’s and adding to their plethora of awards and products is the opening of their flagship restaurant.

The highly anticipated ‘Distillery Restaurant’, opened its doors last month on-site at the Renmark Distillery, creating the Riverland’s newest culinary dining experience. The Distillery Restaurant brings a modern flair to the century-old Distillery, turning to its neighbours for farm fresh and locally grown Riverland produce in the dishes.

“Diners are wanting a point of difference in the Riverland region and the Distillery Restaurant really sets the stage for this. Whether you’re gin tasting with friends or enjoying a shared meal, the creative energy in here is extreme,” says Twenty Third Street Distillery Venue Manager Jessica Zimmerman.

Both the food and drinks menus draw inspiration from native indigenous ingredients as well as local botanicals in the spirits, bringing guests sensory pleasures of savoury, sweet and smooth.

The restaurant also features an authentic wood fire oven. Along with traditional-sized pizzas, Italian trained Pizza Chef Andre also serves up his signature one-metre pizzas.

“Chef Andre makes our pizza dough from scratch using traditional techniques. He has moved to the Riverland from Florence, Italy, so you can be assured that the pizzas are truly authentic,” says Jessica Zimmerman.

The Distillery’s historic tanks have been beautifully converted into exclusive private dining areas, offering guests a unique and atmospheric dining experience. The ‘Chef’s Table’ seats up to 16 people and is located opposite the kitchen, so guests can watch their meal being prepared while interacting with the chef.

The addition of the Distillery Restaurant has created three full time positions and eight casual positions for the Riverland region.

Distillery Restaurant is open from 6pm Thursday – Sunday. Bookings can be made by calling (08) 8586 8500. For more information visit 23rdstreetdistillery.com.au.
