2018 Italian Film Festival- Live La Dolca Vita
I interviewed the Italian film festival director ahead of the festival kicking off at Palace Nova Eastend in Adelaide tonight with one of the most talked about Italian films of the year, “Loro”. This film is based around the former prime minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi. This film definitely will involve lots of conversation by attendees over café the following day.
Happy as Lazaro is one of the feature films and recently screened at Cannes Festival. It is a beautifully directed film which contains a huge twist in it. No spoilers here. A must see for your Italian Film Festival hit list.
For fans of thrillers, The Girl in the fog is a festival pick for you. An interesting film which is based on the novel of the same name where the author as also directed the film.
And in moving with the times, the festival closing event will have the film Suspiria digitally remastered in dazzing 4K picture which will be spectacular to see for those in attendance.
The overall theme for the program is around love and relationships, with its normal touch of great Italian comedy.
With the festival screening in Adelaide at two cinemas at Palace Eastend and Palace Prospect, there is more opportunity for the public to see many of the fantastic italian films on offer right till the mid of October. Belissimo!
