I’m sure the kids are going to love this one (I even enjoyed it too)! It is a Russian production which has a separate voice cast for the English version.
It’s Princess Barbara’s (Haylie Duff – Hillary’s older sister) 16th birthday. She is secretly in love with Prince Edward and she is always thinking about how their relationship will endure. Her father, King Elijah (Martin Cooke) is always reluctant to let go of control and let her act as an emerging adult. He is an inventor and is always making mechanical helpers around the palace and giving them life with his “water of life” that he obtained from Mother Nature when Barbara was a baby.
Barbara is ecstatic when she hears that the Royal Mail has arrived. Instead of their regular postie, she is confronted with the evil, conniving Bundy Joyce (Pauly Shore). He roams the corridors of the palace and stumbles across the King’s laboratory, where he discovers a vial of the Water of Life. When Elijah comes in and confronts him, he offers him “anything you want” not to destroy the vial.

When Elijah addresses all the birthday guests, he welcomes them to … the marriage of his precious daughter to Bundy!! Barbara is horrified and escapes into the forest, where she is confronted with the talking Rabbit and the monster Bogey. They intend to hold her for ransom and return her to the palace in return for their booty. She protests strongly, as this would mean having to marry Bundy. Instead, she convinces them to help her find the castle of her beloved Prince Edward.
Who’s going to win? The wondrous Prince or the scheming Bundy? Best take the kids along to this enjoyable animation to find out!
