Ash (Luke Ford) and Kate (Gillian Alexy) are having marital issues after Ash confessed to a one-night stand. Ash is an investment banker who is in the process of finalising a large deal with a Shanghai funds manager. Kate is a champion archer, but Ash is too busy to attend her competition that day; also too busy to attend the psychological appraisal of their teenage daughter Sarah (Téa Heathcote-Marks) who is having issues.

Kate’s concentration wavers slightly when about to shoot her final arrow, as she recalls her husband’s confession. It doesn’t get any better when the psychiatrist reveals that Sarah is a normal teenage girl and that the problem lies with Kate and Ash! A weekend away in a luxurious forest retreat will hopefully allow the couple to reconnect and get their marriage back on track. Ash is also celebrating the imminent signing of the new deal by his partner – having promised Kate no work for the weekend.

Soon after retiring for the night, they are subjected to a house invasion by mercenaries, headed up by ex-military psychopath Reed (Alexandra Nell). Kate and Sarah are bound and gagged and kept under the watchful eye of Kane (Ryan Panizza) while Ash is taken away to a secret location.

There, he discovers that, if he wants to see his wife and daughter alive again, he is to transfer $10M to secret bank accounts. However, the mercenaries are not counting on the determination and resolve of Kate … and her world-class archery skills!

There are a few twists and turns in this Aussie thriller – and I really enjoyed this movie. Take the time to visit the cinemas to see it on the big screen. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
