Loveless Movie Review

By Tony Polese · On May 8, 2018

Loveless is shot in a dark and gloomy Russia.  And this is one film we learnt would be dark and gloomy overall.

Loveless is a thriller revolving around a couple who have divorced and despise each other.  They have moved onto new partners and the film basically shows their lives to start with the film with only a sprinkle of their son who is finding the separation to deal with.

The film then makes a sharp turn when their son has gone missing and the search for him begins.  From viewing the film, doesn’t seem like the parents are that consumed by the search.  When you see one of the police helpers seem more enthusiastic in her search then the parents, it sure does leave confusion in my eyes.   The confusion with this film doesn’t end there.  But to elaborate on that would spoil the ending for you.

With winter type weather arriving to Adelaide this week, perhaps this is the film to get you in the mood for those dark and gloomy winter days ahead.
