From the risqué minds of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg brings you; The Good Boys – a raunchy, outrageous and childish (but not for kids) ride from start to finish, leaving you shocked and in stitches.
This coming of age story revolving around a trio of schoolboys who get up to no good are sent on a series of misadventures such as learning how to kiss a crush at school, sneaking a bottle or two out of a corner store, and stealing a packet of ‘gummies’ from a couple of college girls. Be warned though as this story of over-hormonal 6th graders is not for the faint hearted, as the chemistry filled trio get a taste of the adult world along the way.
There is some repetitiveness of being reminded that adult themes are adult themes for a reason and are not for any kids, let alone 6th graders to have to go through. But that doesn’t distract the film by being preachy and in the end – has fun (depending on your definition of that).
And even though this is a story where everything that could go wrong, does go wrong. This film delivers the message that you can never be too young to be a bad boy for life.
Good Boys is now screening at Palace Nova and Palace Prospect Cinemas.
