Psychic private dick, Dirk Darrow is back with an updated charge list of suspects for the knockabout cabaret comedyProhibition, in The Speakeasy at Gluttony, Rymill Park, corner East Terrace and Rundle Road, from 17 February – 19 March at 9.45pm ( + matinees) for the 2017 Adelaide Fringe.
Written and produced by Tim Motley (aka Dirk Darrow) and Patrick McCullagh (aka Paddy the Plank) Prohibition 2017 builds on the success of the show’s inaugural season in 2016.

Set in a 1930s speakeasy, Prohibition is a slick, film noir-themed cabaret variety show, packed with astonishing acrobats, sassy singers, mesmerizing magicians and more, all tied together in a quirky light-hearted crime story.
Tim Motley said, ‘Prohibition will be bigger and better this year. We have three new cast members joining the line-up. There’s comedian and singer Aurora Kurth, aka Minnie the Man-Eater (pictured above) with the Nina Simone-esque voice; acrobat Mason West, aka Cambell the Cleaner (who has performed with Moscow Circus, Chinese State Circus, Circus OZ, on Broadway and has over 20 years of professional work under his belt); gentleman juggler and daredevil stuntman Aerial Manx, aka Swallowing Sam who holds 13 world records including for the ‘most innovative sword swallower in the world’ and three Guinness World Records including ‘most back flips in a minute while swallowing a sword. Then there’s acrobat Caz the Crusher Walsh, Fringe favourite Daniel Warr aka Dado the Hump, Paddy the Plank McCullaghand myself – as Dirk Darrow.’
Prohibition 2017 is a totally immersive experience, where the venue and activities around it are custom designed for the show itself. It is different from other popular modern cabaret shows in that it has a specific unifying theme and is also a cooperative venture between the performers themselves.
