Adelaide’s Premier Design Market celebrates ten years and is set to buzz in November!
Celebrating its tenth year, Bowerbird Design Market returns to the Adelaide Showground from 1 – 3 November, showcasing a curated selection of exciting local and interstate designers, with creative workshops, artisan food and craft beverages and music to enjoy across the weekend.
Bowerbird is the ideal event to kick off the Christmas shopping season with some market favourites guaranteed to have that unique gift for friends and family and for November we’re also pleased to announce 40 new designers. In total there are 200+ stallholders selling accessories, artwork, stationery, skincare, clothing and textiles, furniture, lighting, homewares and gifts for kids.
Discover new brands making their debut, including Eggpicnic’s colourful and striking fine art prints, artisanal textiles from Audrey Gachet, ethical women’s clothing label Colour Coded and stylish adjustable wooden frames from Corner Block Studio. You’ll also find the latest Spring/Summer new release products from Bowerbird favourites such as Kitty Came Home, Claire Ishino, The Butcher Byrd, Mother Daughter and The Mod Collective. https://bowerbird.net.au/designer-directory/

Proudly South Australian, this year’s market includes 80 local stallholders, including a selection of artisan foods, wines and spirits, quality produce using local ingredients including Quince Catering; Ambra Liqueurs; Sassi Icecream; Let Them Eat; Abbots & Kinney and Johns & Co Coffee. Look out for the mobile drinks trolley and enjoy a drink while shopping or visit the bar for a tasting and chat with some of our local wine and spirit makers. After work on the Friday, meet friends at the champagne bar or have a cocktail and enjoy the tunes from our in-house DJ. More details here: https://bowerbird.net.au/food-drink/
Once again Bowerbird will offer an incredible program of workshops. For the first time many of these will be run in conjunction with Adelaide’s iconic JamFactory. These include making Jewellery from Found Objects; Jesmonite coasters with Calum Hurley; Ceramic planters with Xanthe Murphy and two workshops with Emma Cuppleditch, Colour On Metal and Resin Vessels. Other workshops include From The Wild’s Artisan Chocolate, Kokedama with EST and in the spirit of Christmas, beautiful and long-lasting Wreaths with Ponder Posy. There will also be free creative kids’ activities on the Saturday and Sunday hosted by Mini Mad Things, including collage crowns and paperbag monster masks. Director, Jane Barwick, is passionate about Bowerbird’s continued growth:
“It’s incredibly exciting after ten years to be going from strength to strength. Our proudly South Australian event has an excellent reputation around Australia and we attract a large contingent of new stallholders each time, both local and interstate and emerging and established, as well as welcoming back designers who have been part of the event since the start. All keen to take part and show new collections to the hugely receptive audience we’ve established in Adelaide.”
Open from Friday 1 November at 4pm, to Sunday 3 November at 5pm, Bowerbird is the perfect destination after work on the Friday night for shopping, drinks and nibbles with friends, or a weekend outing with family.
