The Choir of Man is a tribute to the good old-fashioned pubs, to mateship and to life, celebrated through storytelling, song and dance.
This is a pub gig like no other… This dynamic group of nine seemingly ordinary mates will entertain you from start to finish with a high energy production showcasing their incredible talent. The show starts with a warm ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, their local pub, and an introduction to the crew. As the storytelling begins, narrated by Ben Norris, a UK Poetry Slam champion, the audience is treated to a high energy show featuring the group’s incredible musical and singing talents.
The vocal range of these performers is just superb as they harmoniously treat the audience to a variety of songs as they share their stories. A definite highlight is a hauntingly beautiful acapella version of Adele’s ‘Hello’ along with other familiar songs such as Sia’s ‘Chandelier’, that you’ll want to sing along and tap your feet to.
There is some audience participation throughout the show, and those fortunate enough to be pulled up on stage to participate are brought up to dance, be serenaded or simply offered a beer, or even a ‘Pina Colada’. Its not all serious though, with plenty of laughs along the way.
This is the first time this group has performed outside of the UK and judging from the audience’s response, it will definitely not be their last.
A seriously fun, feel good show, that you won’t want to miss.
