To mark the start of the festive season, the state’s premier retail and lifestyle destination has unveiled a magical display of 10 individually themed windows along the 520m length of Rundle Mall.
The displays bring to life the traditions of Christmas and reflect the gratitude of a community united by a common cause.
Each window includes collaborations with internationally acclaimed and homegrown couturier Paolo Sebastian, the Adelaide Festival Centre and local artists, toymakers and creatives.
And in a nod to the economic challenge created by COVID, much of the displays have been sourced from Rundle Mall traders, with several windows providing visitors with gift-giving, home styling and festive menu inspiration that can be ‘shopped’ in the Mall.
Highlights for children and their families include the ‘Twas a Starry Night’ window, depicting Santa and his reindeer setting off from the North Pole on Christmas Eve to makes wishes come true, and ‘Santa’s Workshop’, where Rundle Mall elves have gathered an array of toys from Rundle Mall traders and the Gumeracha Toy Factory to provide all the gift inspiration you will need.
The windows are free for all to see and enjoy on Rundle Mall every day.
