Adelaide Festival Centre presents
SUN RISING – The Songs That Made Memphis
Imagine Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison all recording their hits in one studio. Well that’s what happened at the famous Sun Records in Memphis Tennessee and they weren’t alone! Critically acclaimed production Sun Rising – The Songs That Made Memphis pays tribute to the artists and music from Sun Records in a spectacular cabaret show that has sold out across Australia and most recently at the 2015 Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Sun Rising will be perform three shows in the Dunstan Playhouse on 24 & 25 February as part of the Adelaide Fringe.
“We are super excited that tickets have been selling like hot cakes!! So much so, that a third show has been added. No excuses for missing out, it’s gonna be a great weekend!” – Sun Rising
The audience will be taken on a guided studio tour that showcases the incredible music and classic stories of Memphis royalty and Sun Records’ early years. With insightful tales and stompin’ tunes at the heart of this rock ‘n’ roll super show, it’s a musical history lesson at its best!
