2020 ARIA AWARDS: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25,
AT 7.30PM ON NINE AND 9NOW
The 34th ARIA Awards, hosted by Delta Goodrem, will be presented next Wednesday at 7.30pm on Nine and 9Now, live from The Star Event Stage in Sydney.
The awards ceremony will feature performances from international stars Billie Eilish, performing her new single Therefore I Am from Los Angeles, Sam Smith, appearing exclusively from Abbey Road Studios in London, and Australia’s biggest pop export, Sia.
They will be joined by a host of top Australian performers, including 2020 ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Archie Roach, Tame Impala, Amy Shark, Lime Cordiale and Sampa The Great.
An amazing tribute to the late Helen Reddy, performing her anthem I Am Woman, will feature a stellar lineup of 27 of Australia’s biggest female artists including Delta Goodrem, Marcia Hines, Kate Ceberano, Christine Anu, Missy Higgins, Jessica Mauboy, Kate Miller-Heidke, Samantha Jade, Dami Im and many more.
Leading the award nominations with eight is Sydney rock duo Lime Cordiale, followed by multi-instrumentalist and producer Tame Impala with seven. Other nominees include Zambian-born, Melbourne-based rapper Sampa The Great, as well as previous ARIA Award winners including Tones and I, Amy Shark, Jessica Mauboy and Troye Sivan.
A host of Australian and international presenters will be on hand for Australian music’s night of nights, including global superstars Robbie Williams, Mick Fleetwood and Keith Urban, Australia’s pop princess Kylie Minogue, last year’s host and four-time ARIA Award winner Guy Sebastian, last year’s breakout star Tones and I, comedians Hamish Blake and Joel Creasy, plus Nine personalities Brooke Boney and Richard Wilkins.
