“I got a really good lead out, so I had time to think of when to start the sprint. It’s never easy to win but it’s much easier to win like that. I feel I was led perfectly to the line. I saw Sagan just kind of near me but I didn’t feel he was going past me though. I heard the crash behind me but luckily, I was just in front of it.”
“There was a little more pressure on me coming back this year. A year older, I’m supposedly stronger. I have to keep performing. Every year I come back, I feel a bit more pressure. Obviously starting with a new team there were some question marks. I’m happy I can prove I’m with the strongest team to win here.”
