- A midweek sell out on a balmy summer night at the Drive to see local player Kokkinanikas beat Martin Etcheverry ranked number thirty nine right on three hours in a spectacular battle. Kokkinanikas saved many break points early in the match to win the first. The Argentinian fought back to win the second set before Kokky held his never in the final set in a set that was on a knife edge. After that gruelling match, how will Kokky pull up this morning with his shoulder for the match up against Korda tonight. Kokky has never beaten Korda in their three previous outings. Will playing WWE on the Playstation with friends today help him get in the zone to win his way into the semi finals. We will find out tonight in what promised to be another sell out on centre court.
- Sixteen year old Emmerson Jones put up a brave battle but the class of Daria Kasatina who is ranked number nine came though and she won the match in straight sets.
- Maddison Keys continued her fantastic form over the years at the Adelaide tournament with a strong win over eighth seed Ostapenko.
Let the quarter finals begin which kicks off from 11am on centre court court today with Liudmila Samsonova taking on second seed, Emma Navarro from the US.
