The most iconic day on the South Australian racing calendar, the TAB Adelaide Cup Day, returns to Morphettville Racecourse on Monday, March 9. The 2020 event promises to be brimming with action, on and off the track, with the event celebrating its 150th Adelaide Cup.
In true racing style, the event will boast a lively festival atmosphere whilst celebrating this SAJC milestone. Keeping on theme, the first 150 patrons to enter will receive free drinks. Courtesy of the Starting Gate, attendees will be entertained all day long with an explosive trackside playground featuring all-day music.
Head of Marketing, Amy Belperio, says “The 2019 Adelaide Cup saw a record-breaking attendance with over 14k punters showing up to support the event and especially because this is our 150th Adelaide Cup, this year is set to be bigger and better than last year.”
After its popularity at the 2019 TAB Adelaide Cup, the AAMI VIP Marquee created by White Marquee will return to the Champagne Lawns, offering the perfect option for those looking for the best of both worlds in an exclusive atmosphere.
“The vibrant AAMI VIP Marquee was a massive hit at previous race days. This year, the AAMI VIP Marquee will be located amongst all of the action on the home straight… We have an irresistible five-hour food and beverage package available, ensuring you’ll be set all day long,” says Amy Belperio.
Music and party lovers will be excited with the Starting Gate hosting an impressive schedule of live entertainment including headline act Bag Raiders, and local artists DJ Well, Sarez and Normie B. Other TAB Adelaide Cup Day essentials also feature in the Starting Gate precinct, include a chill-out-zone and silent disco as well as bars from Canadian Club and Furphy to name a few.
Returning to the Starting Gate this year is the iconic Ferris Wheel, offering views over Morphettville Racecourse in all its glory and allowing punters the chance to take in the ambience of what will be one of Morphettville’s biggest party’s ever.
