What: Isaac Lomman
Where: The May Wirth at Gluttony
Duration: 60 minutes
Genre: Magic / Hypnotism
(Reviewed by John Glennie)
Not sure that I am the right person to be writing this, since I spent the entire show on stage under hypnosis!!
I saw some friends outside after the show who told me some of what happened. However, some 15 minutes later when I had a sip of drink, I remembered everything – including that Isaac said we wouldn’t recall anything until we had a sip of something!
I then remembered that when I heard a short piece of music I would rush to the girl on the end seat and pat her head thinking she was a soft toy! I was also led to believe I was posing nude for a portrait and couldn’t get out of my chair to cover myself or get away.
At the end of the show I was told I was Daryl Braithwaite and performing the final song of my concert – I was given the microphone and belted out the chorus to ‘Horses’. Before being sent back to my original seat in the audience I was told that, until I had a sip, every time I heard the name “Isaac Lomman” I would break into song singing ‘Happy’ – which explained why random people came up to me outside the tent and mentioned his name.
Think next time I will just watch the show!!!! Apparently the crowd took immense pleasure from the embarrassment of the “victims” on stage. So please go along and see Adelaide’s-own Isaac Lomman in Hypnotised.
