If you like amazing feats of strength, agility and skill then go and see Werk It – you won’t be disappointed. The show is filled with vibrant music, great lighting and choreography, energy and humour.
The acts include all the ones you expect from Circus & Physical Theatre including acrobatics, juggling, amazing hoola-hoop, human towers and foot juggling (go and see it to find out what this entails!). There are lots of “wow” factors from these 5 amazing performers, but there is one that stood out for me: human towers usually have a big bulky guy supporting the ones standing on his shoulders – but, in a first for me, the girl took a fairly hefty male on her shoulders then another girl on top of his shoulders (see photo above). Very impressive!!!
Humour is thrown in regularly and it fitted in really well – such as the “clumsiness” of the girl attempting to pick up all the hool-hoops after completion of that performance.
A great show in a pleasant outdoor venue – though remember to take some mosquito repellent!
