Adelaide Fringe Review – Notorious Strumpet & Dangerous Girl

By Tony Polese · On March 8, 2017

Alcoholics Anonymous meets acrobatics, storytelling and hula hooping in this grim and dark comedy.
The audience gets drawn in as participants in an AA meeting as Jessie Love tells the story of her drug and sex habits and parallels these with her convicts roots in Tasmania.  Hey don’t blame drunkenness on me! Blame my DNA though her straight laced Christian parents may disagree.
It was slow to start with as Ms Love tried hard to extract laughs however as the show continues you easily get caught up in her tales which are nicely broken up with use of video and superb circus skills.
Only suitable for mature audiences now showing at Garden of Unearthly Delights.
