Adelaide Fringe Review – Abandoman

By Tony Polese · On March 8, 2017

17 Feb – 5 March
Corona Theatre – Garden of Unearthly Delights
The Irish hip hop duo Robert Broderick and Sam Wilson, return to take us all on a journey through the 90’s with their show Abandoman – One Shot.

The scene is set in Ireland circa 1993, and this duo is on the verge of taking the world, and the audience by storm. Broderick brilliantly narrates their rise in success whilst sharing images and video of the journey to the top. There are several hilarious references to their sworn enemies Daft and Punk and friends Michael Flatley and Puff Daddy.

The real highlight of the show is how the story develops with the suggestions and participation from the audience, which the talented Broderick cleverly incorporates into rap lyrics. Sam Wilson provides the music and back up throughout this tale of success and fame.

Be prepared for a hilarious hour of fun, mayhem and plenty of audience participation. Totally unpredictable, but lots of fun. Go see it.
