For its third year running, confetti and chaos was part of the Adelaide Fringe program alongside Faulty Towers, the Dining Experience. Both shows are produced by Interactive Theatre. With the cast of Faulty Towers being guests of this show on this Sunday night, there was even more fun interaction to be had with the audience.
Stacey and Will’s surprise wedding reception at the Adelaide Royal Coach and everyone in attendance are the invited guests. And a packed room at that. Upon sitting down, we were greeted by who we thought was a waitress of the venue. It was soon clear to us that it actually was one of the cast.
Even before the wedding party arrive, there is mayhem between the waiter and waitress who cant keep their hands off each other.
The married couple, Will and Stacey, make a joyful entrance, surprised by the reception, but things rapidly go downhill from there. Poor Will copping it from the parents of the bride and a best man that is out of control. With the characters running in and out of the room, coming back as different characters, this is one hilarious ride. High praise to the cast of four who play multiple characters perfectly.
This is the most fun and laughter you will ever have at a wedding reception. One wild ride indeed, and a perfect show in our eyes.
