2024 Adelaide Fringe Review – Popcorn Underground

By Rabea Mokricky · On February 25, 2024

Popcorn Underground, presented at the Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival hub, is described as a “world-class cabaret, circus and comedy” with acts from Australia’s Got Talent, X-Factor and co.

Performers lead the crowd into a colorful world, filled with acrobatic extravaganza, breathtakingly beautiful musical entertainment and sexy comedy, before Tara Boom offers a delicious, salty finale, leaving the audience hungry for more.

Popcorn Underground isn’t afraid to be silly and therefore creates a wonderful balance between meaningful, thought-provoking moments and laughter.

The show pushes societal boundaries whilst celebrating diversity and highlighting the beauty of the human body. It’s emotional, funny and raunchy in the best way possible.
