TIM MCGRAW’S ADELAIDE SHOW
AT THE SHOWGROUNDS

October 2nd concert’s new venue announcement

Like This Events has announced that country music superstar Tim McGraw’s October 2nd show in Adelaide will now be held at the Adelaide Showground in Wayville.

Jim Frayling, MD of Like This Events, said “we’ve moved venues to allow us to create a better all-round experience for Tim McGraw’s fans. Instead of committing lots of time and money to installing back of house items like loading docks in the park,  we can now focus on the front of house experience for our guests.

“We’re essentially looking create a full event experience to enhance the guests concert memories and make this a spectacular night. This is the first time in seven years Tim McGraw has been in Adelaide so let’s make the most of it with as big and as enjoyable as possible. ” he said.

The Adelaide Showgrounds event will still feature the full firepower of McGraw’s huge North American tour which, along with sales of more than 50 million albums, 43 worldwide #1 singles, 3 Grammy Awards, 11 American Music awards and starring roles in the hit movies ‘The Shack’ and playing alongside Sandra Bullock in ‘The Blind Side’ highlight just why Tim McGraw is one of the biggest stars today.

Popular American country music group, Midland, on their first ever Australian tour plus  seven-time Golden Guitar winner and back-to-back CMC Male Artist of the Year winner Travis Collins will still perform on the bill.

All tickets remain valid for the new venue and remain on sale from ticketek.com.au from $99.90. Existing ticketholders who have purchased through official Ticketek channels will have their tickets automatically transferred to the Showground and do not need to do anything. Ticket holders will be contacted directly in the coming fortnight by Ticketek.  Any queries should initially be directed via Ticketek’s Help portal at  https://help.ticketek.com.au/hc/en-us

Commenting on Botanic Park, Jim Frayling said “we’re far from done with the Botanic Park and we see a strong future for the venue and concerts in Adelaide. Like This Events will certainly revisit the venue for future tours and we’ve really enjoyed the previous shows we have been involved in there. It is an individual decision – for this show, with this production on this date, it just makes more sense to move to the Showground’.

The company’s partners reside both locally and overseas and in addition to investing in past concerts held at Botanic Park*, have a portfolio of investments in South Australia comprising primarily agriculture and wine and thus remain committed to bringing tours to town that may ordinarily bypass the city.

*Like This Events were investors but not associated in the day to day business activities of Phil Rankine nor any of his entities.
