TDU AFTER DARK PROGRAM READY TO ROCK
The City of Adelaide Tour Village, the heart and soul of the Santos Tour Down Under will come alive after dark in 2018, with a full program of night events set to entertain and engage fans in even greater ways than ever before!
The TDU fans know the City of Adelaide Tour Village is the gathering spot for cycling fans, an after-work meeting place to catch up on the day’s racing but in 2018 it will be so much more.
Fans not only can walk amongst the world’s best cyclists in the largest Bike Expo in Australia, watch the team mechanics at work, test ride the newest bikes, watch the race on the big screen, review the latest cycling equipment, sit back with fabulous food and wine but choose from a nightly program of events once the sun starts to set.
Kicking off with the Team Presentation, each night has something on offer from the Roller Frenzy X, VirtuGO Cycling Legend Challenge, Grinders Coffee Latte Art Tournament, screening the ORICA-GreenEDGE All for One Movie, Hit 107! Old School House Party and the Wilson Parking Car Park Climb presented by Advam.

Team Presentation and Free Concert, presented by Cycling Tips
City of Adelaide Tour Village: 6:30pm – 10.00pm FREE
Be amongst the thousands of fans as the riders of the Santos Women’s Tour Down Under and Santos Tour Down Under are all presented to the crowd for the first time. International voices of cycling Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen will guide us through the presentations and tell us who their picks of the peloton are before the stage is taken over by an ARIA Award Winning performer for the FREE evening concert to really kick off the festival’s celebrations in style.

Roller Frenzy X

Grinders on Tour Café will come alive with Roller Frenzy X. Come and watch 32 cyclists of all levels race pros in a 500m roller challenge. The final will thrill everyone from every age as these cyclists themselves to the limit. Enjoy a drink and some dinner while enjoying the action!

VirtuGO, the innovative new virtual indoor cycling platform that will gamify your indoor cycling experience and take your performance to the next level will displaying the future of indoor cycling at the TDU. See Australian cycling legends Stuart O’Grady, Robbie McEwen, Phil Anderson, Michael Rogers and others race head to head on a virtual replica of the Willunga Hill race route. Join the fun and cheer on your Aussie cycling hero!

Grinders Coffee Roasters Latte Art Tournament

Adelaide’s Best Barista’s battle it out in a fast paced, knockout Latte Art Tournament.
Competition starts at 6pm. $1000 is up for grabs for the winner and the prestige of being the best barista alive! Prizes also for 2nd and 3rd.

Wilson Parking Car Park Climb presented by Advam

See riders go head to head, racing each other and the clock up 12 levels of a multi-story car park. With a DJ, bar, food vans and plenty of cowbells, this is much more than a bike racing event, it’s a spectacle not to the missed. Racing commences at 6:30pm with the winners being crowned at 9:30pm
