Splendour HQ is currently making space in the display cabinet for a few new trophies! After delivering another sold out event to 35,000 music lovers in July 2018, the celebrations heated up all over again across the past few weeks as they took out a number of major awards. Last night’s National Live Music Awards announced Splendour as the NSW Live Event Of The Year! Boom! This follows a win at the prestigious NSW Tourism Awards on November 22, where Splendour in the Grass was thrilled to receive Goldin the Major Festivals and Events category. The awards celebrated the achievements of over 125 outstanding finalists from across the state. And the festival was also the recipient of the Best Regional Event award at the esteemed Australian Event Awards recently. “It is an incredible honour to be recognised as a finalist in these awards… let alone to bring home the trophies! All of these awards are testament to our hard-working team who bring Splendour to life each year, and most importantly, the Splendour community that embraces all the crazy stuff we dream up with such enthusiasm. With a solid reputation for booking some of the biggest acts touring the world right now, 2018 saw international heavyweights Kendrick Lamar, Vampire Weekend, Lorde and CHVRCHES take to the stage at the festival’s home at North Byron Parklands.
