Australian legends The Screaming Jets are celebrating the release of their latest album Chrome, the seventh one in the series since forming in 1989.
Special guests Melbourne band Massive supported the headline act and played energetic hard rock numbers to get the crowd warmed up. They were quite entertaining, but the night of course was for the bosses, The Screaming Jets.
Lead vocals singer Dave Gleeson talked a little bit about their latest conquest and then the show kicked off. They really got everyone going with their well-known songs like “Stop the World”, “Better”, and showed off some new tracks.
Guitarists Paul Woseen, Jimi “The Human” Hocking, and Scott Kingman looked cool on stage whilst drummer Mickl Sayers hit it out. Dave was animated, amusing and educated us about domestic violence.
There were a couple of mic issues which Gleeson wasn’t too happy about, but the show still went on. The band played for an hour straight and left everyone wanting more by the end.
It looks like the band can still keep the fire alive touring their old hits, as well as write new ones.
