Mallrat came back to Adelaide on Friday 5th for her Nobody’s Home Tour and played at The Gov.
Her vibe makes you feel so happy, she’s down to earth and makes you dance and groove. Although the crowd was primarily filled with mostly obnoxious 13-15 year olds, she got the crowd pumped up!
Now I’ve seen Mallrat play twice before and she has always been great, this time however I didn’t feel like she was as good. Maybe she’s exhausted from her tour, but the show felt very much like a routine effort. I wouldn’t say she sang lazily, but it felt like her heart wasn’t completely in this show this time. The sound at The Gov this time wasn’t too great either, quite muffled.
Groceries, UFO and Better were some of the crowd favourites.
Mallrat’s kawaii style makes her extremely lovable, and I think her personality is what makes her so great.
The show was good but didn’t live up to my high expectations unfortunately. Maybe once her album comes out her shows will be a bit different. I hope so, as I’m a big Mallrat fan and she has a lot of potential.
