MORGAN EVANS ANNOUNCES LIFE UPSIDE DOWN TOUR FOR AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND THIS SEPTEMBER

With special guest James Johnston

Chugg Entertainment, Frontier Touring and Potts Entertainment are excited to announce beloved Nashville-based, Aussie singer-songwriter, Morgan Evans will make his anticipated return home, bringing his Life Upside Down Tour to Australia and New Zealand this September.

TheLife Upside Down Tour will kick off at Auckland’s Powerstation on Thursday 7 September, before landing at Newcastle Civic Theatre for an incredibly special hometown performance on Saturday 9 September. Morgan then heads to The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Monday 11 September before making his Sydney Opera House debut on Tuesday 12 September, followed by stops at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Friday 15 September, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday 17 September, and Perth’s The Astor Theatre on Tuesday 19 September.

Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets from 12pm (local) on Wednesday 31 May before the general public on sale opens at 1pm (local) on Thursday 1 June.

Evans returns to Australia just a year on from his spectacular CMC Rocks QLD 2022 appearance, which saw the country-pop sensation headline the sold-out event alongside Kane Brown and Brad Paisley and join Paisley on his Australia and New Zealand tour. On that visit, Evans added a last-minute hometown Newcastle show which saw fans snap up all tickets within minutes!

The Nashville-via-Newcastle chart topper last headlined shows around the country in 2019 as part of his world tour, hitting the road off the back of a hugely successful second studio album THINGS THAT WE DRINK TO. The album earnt Evans a spot on Billboard’s Country Artists to Watch list that year, with lead single ‘Day Drunk’ achieving 4x Platinum status in Australia and becoming a staple at commercial radio. Following his breakout in 2018, Evans continued to soar, achieving his first No.1 on the US Country Chart with hit track ‘Kiss Somebody’ which also went 3x Platinum here in Australia and topped the Australian Country Airplay Chart for 25 weeks.

Morgan will be joined on his Australia & New Zealand tour* by 2x Golden Guitar winner, James Johnston. A local boy from Wingham, NSW, James has had a mammoth 2 years performing on some of country music’s biggest stages at CMC Rocks QLD and Tamworth Country Music Festival, as well as topping the CountryTown Hot 50 airplay chart. With a year of recognition for the rising star, including Rolling Stone Australia’s Best New Talent; as well as a newly released single, ‘We Grew Up On’ , James Johnston is gearing up to hit the stage alongside Morgan for some incredible live shows.

With support back home and around the world, Morgan Evans continues to perform to sold out venues globally, with an extensive touring history that has seen him join the likes of Taylor Swift, Alan Jackson, Dan + Shay and more on their world tours. His dynamic live performance has been called “electric” by Off The Record and celebrated as “triumphant… with the perfect amount of energy and fun” by Entertainment Focus.

His latest EP, Life Upside Down (out now via Warner Music) is a project that hits home for Morgan, and is a poetic timeline of the last year. The EP received rave reviews from fans and critics, including deeply raw, viral single ‘Over For You’ connecting “so strongly with fans around the world (Music & Tour News), which ultimately earnt him a spot on the line-up at this year’s C2C festival in London.

“Evans’ honest lyrics and authentic performance throughout the EP take us on a journey of unexpected heartbreak, self-rediscovery, new beginnings and a renewed gratitude for the present moment” – Anti Music

This September, Evans is bringing the songs of Life Upside Down to the stage, returning home with a fresh outlook, resetting himself personally and musically with a string of home-soil shows that will be cathartic not just for the singer-songwriter but for loyal Aussie fans eagerly awaiting his return.

Giving Morgan Evans a good Aussie welcome home, don’t miss out as the singer-songwriter hits the stage once again for what promises to be a string of incredible live shows.
