JEFF TWEEDY – AUTRALIAN TOUR, PLAYS THE GOV 28 MAY
Grammy Award winning artist Jeff Tweedy, the founding member and leader of the American rock band Wilco, and before that, the co-founder of the alt-country band Uncle Tupelo, is heading to Australia for his first ever solo tour this May. He will be at The Gov on Tuesday 28 May, for what will be one special evening.
Jeff Tweedy will be playing songs from all stages of his career to date. He has released quite a body of recorded works. Four albums with Uncle Tupelo, ten with Wilco, One with his son and two solo albums. On top of this he has been involved with albums by Billy Bragg, Mavis Staples and the band White Denim. He is one of contemporary American music’s most accomplished songwriters, musicians, and performers.
Joining him will be Australian singer-songwriter Jen Cloher.
